The Role
The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for supervising day-to-day warehouse operations and ensuring efficient receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of materials, spare parts, and consumables required for mining operations. The role ensures inventory accuracy, compliance with safety procedures, and effective coordination of warehouse personnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, issuing, and dispatch of materials.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of mining equipment spare parts, consumables, fuels, and chemicals.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and support regular stock counts and reconciliation activities.
• Coordinate warehouse activities to ensure timely delivery of materials to operational departments.
• Enforce warehouse safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and compliance requirements.
• Supervise and guide storekeepers and warehouse personnel to ensure efficient operations.
• Prepare warehouse reports, inventory updates, and operational performance summaries.
• Monitor material movements and ensure proper documentation within ERP systems.
• Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities within warehouse operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental standards, and occupational health and safety procedures.
• Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI): Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Kurmuk Gold Mine PLC Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in mining or heavy industry.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control systems.
• Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Good reporting and communication skills.

Other Requirements:

• Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
• Willingness to work in remote mining environments.
