About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Traffic and Safety Management Specialist to join our team. This role ensures that responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring systems that ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. They specialize in mitigating hazards in both public road networks and private, high-risk work environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and optimize Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for traffic flow and congestion reduction

• Traffic flow analysis

• ITS architecture recommendations

• Congestion mitigation strategies

Conduct road safety audits and implement corrective measures aligned with IRF/PIARC standards

Site visits

• Safety inspections

• Identifying hazards

• Developing mitigation actions

Deploy weigh-in-motion sensors and electronic monitoring systems to control commercial vehicle overloading.

• Traffic modelling

• Data interpretation

• Infrastructure & regulatory recommendations

Develop road safety policies and training programs for enforcement agencies.

• Technology review & deployment support

• Integration with enforcement systems

Analyze traffic data to recommend infrastructure upgrades or regulatory changes.

• Policy drafting

• Training material development

• Workshops for agencies

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

General Experience: 

• Minimum of Master’s degree in Traffic Engineering, Traffic Control System Engineering, or related fields (e.g, Transportation Planning).

• Minimum 10 years in Traffic management systems (ITS), Road safety audits, and Commercial vehicle overload control. 

Specific Experience: 

• Minimum of 5 years in designing traffic flow optimization systems, implementing electronic monitoring technologies (e.g., weigh-in-motion sensors) and road safety policy formulation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with international road safety standards (e.g., IRF, PIARC) is preferred.
