We are seeking a Timber Procurement Specialist to oversee the harvesting and acquisition of timber. This role requires significant time spent outdoors in mountainous terrains. The ideal candidate must be willing to work hard in any conditions and possess deep local knowledge of the Southern Ethiopian Highlands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct frequent field visits to mountainous areas in Southern Ethiopia to supervise harvesting operations.

• Identify and evaluate potential timber sources and suppliers.

• Negotiate purchase contracts with local suppliers and landowners.

• Ensure all harvesting activities comply with legal and environmental regulations.

• Coordinate the logistics of transporting timber from remote forest sites to our facilities.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities and forestry workers.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in forestry, Agriculture, or a related field.

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in the procurement of wood, timber, or forest products.

• Gender: Male (Due to the remote and physically demanding nature of the terrain and frequent travel).
