Job Purpose

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage inventory and ensure the smooth flow of materials for our café operations. The Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing supplies while maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect deliveries of food items, beverages, and supplies

  • Verify quantity and quality of incoming stock against purchase orders

  • Properly store items according to safety and hygiene standards

  • Issue materials to kitchen and service staff as per request

  • Maintain accurate inventory records (manual or system-based)

  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies

  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overstock situations

  • Ensure proper handling of perishable items (FIFO method)

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area

  • Coordinate with procurement and management for timely reordering

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a storekeeper, preferably in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting

  • Basic knowledge of inventory management practices

  • Familiarity with stock control systems (Excel or inventory software is a plus)

  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)

  • Minimum [1–2] years of relevant work experience
