The spare parts storekeeper is responsible for all spare part store activities including receipt, storage, control, and issuance of spare parts, tools, oil, and lubricants. The spare parts storekeeper also plans, organizes, and controls stores /stocks in a professional manner ensuring prompt, efficient and quality service to the concerned units.

Responsibilities

·         Control incoming spares, equipment and tools by checking brand, quality, model and quantity against the actual order.

·         Follow HBSC’s receiving procedures strictly while receiving the deliveries.

·         Receive products as per the check list and standards and inform his  supervisor whenever  the is defects.

·         Receive and properly stock any purchased and supplied items in a way that suits proper material management.

·         Maintain records of all incoming and outgoing deliveries of requested materials.

·         Receive and store documents; maintains record of approved basic store documents.

·         Maintain the stores area in a neat and orderly manner.

·         Organize the warehouse, workplace, and documentation, according to the 5S standards.

·         Update the stock records timely, and prepare issue vouchers & submit timely to finance while issuing of items is made.

·         Ensure that storage areas, facilities and equipment meet the minimum requirements and standards.

·          Ensure the accuracy of data inputs while using computer software for stores management.

·         Ensure all store transactions are carried out in compliance with the store and fixed assets guidelines of the company.

·         Ensure proper usage and maintenance of all equipment in stores.

·         Distribute timely completed regular store vouchers and properly maintain completed pads of GRN and Issue vouchers.

·         Initiate purchase when materials reach reorder level.

·         Mitigate all potential risk areas inside and around store areas and apply necessary preventive measures.

Job Requirements

·         BA in Business Administration, Purchasing & Supplies Management OR related field of study.

·         Applicants who have technical background (Auto mechanics or Electricity)   will have an added advantage.

·         4+ years' experience as a Storekeeper, preferably in a busy manufacturing setting.
