Job Title: Senior QA Engineer (Manual & Automation – Web & Mobile)
Location: On-site, Stadium
Department: Quality Assurance / Engineering
Reports to: QA Lead / Engineering Manager
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to own quality across web and mobile products. You will design and lead automation efforts, mentor junior team members, and drive best practices in testing strategy. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in modern automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, Appium) and the ability to influence product quality at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable automation frameworks for web (Playwright / Selenium) and mobile (Appium) applications.
Lead end-to-end test strategy, including test planning, risk analysis, and coverage metrics for complex features.
Perform advanced manual testing (exploratory, usability, edge cases) when automation is not feasible or during early discovery phases.
Build and execute automated regression, smoke, API, and cross-platform test suites; ensure high reliability and low flakiness. Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and enable shift-left testing practices.
Mentor junior QA engineers and developers on testing approaches, automation patterns, and quality culture.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to define testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
Investigate production issues, reproduce bugs, and drive root-cause analysis.
Evaluate and recommend new testing tools, frameworks, and approaches to improve efficiency.
Track and report quality metrics (defect leakage, automation coverage, test execution health).
Nice-to-Have
Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
Knowledge of performance, security, or accessibility testing basics.
Experience in agile/Scrum environments with fast release cycles.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) for test environments.
Previous experience mentoring teams or leading test architecture decisions.
Job Requirements
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on QA experience, with at least 3+ years focused on test automation.
Strong proficiency in Playwright (preferred) and/or Selenium WebDriver for web automation; deep understanding of page object model, locators, waits, and parallel execution.
Solid experience with Appium for native, hybrid, and mobile web testing on iOS and Android.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (strongly preferred) or Java/Python for automation scripting.
Experience building and maintaining custom automation frameworks from scratch or extending existing ones.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.) and version control (Git).
Strong knowledge of API testing (REST/GraphQL) using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Playwright's API capabilities.
Familiarity with cloud device farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm) and real-device testing.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
