The Senior Nurse at Teklehaimanot General Hospital will provide advanced nursing care and support in a full-time capacity. This role requires a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in clinical settings, focusing on patient assessment, treatment planning, and health education. The Senior Nurse will collaborate with healthcare teams to promote public health and patient well-being in the office environment. Strong expertise in psychology and public health principles will be essential to enhance patient outcomes and community health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine health needs and develop individualized care plans.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

  • Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams, facilitating effective communication among healthcare providers.

  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary based on clinical findings.

  • Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention strategies.

  • Implement public health initiatives and community outreach programs to promote wellness.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.

  • Provide mentorship and support to junior nursing staff and nursing students.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care standards.

  • Stay updated with the latest nursing practices and public health policies to ensure best practices are followed.
