Database administrators test, implement and administer computer databases. They use their expertise in database management systems to plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases. They also use scripts and configuration files to tailor a database to users' needs.

Qualification & Experience:

BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Science & Computer Engineering and with a minimum of six (6) years in Database administration or related field; three (3) of which should be in a senior/equivalent role preferably in the banking sectors

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of two or more RDBMS technologies (DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL server & Knowledge of advanced SQL)

• Advanced knowledge of operating systems preferably AIX, Linux. Storages, network and security knowledge. Knowledge of high availability (HA) and Disaster recovery options.

• Knowledge of indexes, index management and statistics. Problem solving & Presentation skill of technical Information

• Attention to details and quality focus & Diversified operating system skills.

• Analytical, Communication and documentation skills. Interpersonal & Planning skills
