Position: Senior Database Administrator

• Place of Work: Addis Ababa
• Term of Employment: Permanent
• Skills Requirement: Knowledge of computer operation is mandatory

Job Requirements:

• Qualification & Experience: BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering and related fields of study with a minimum of six (6) years in Database administration or related field; three (3) of which should be in a senior/equivalent role preferably in the banking sector.

Required Knowledge & Skills:
• Knowledge of two or more RDBMS technologies (DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL server & Knowledge of advanced SQL)
• Advanced knowledge of operating systems preferably AIX, Linux.
Storages, network and security knowledge
• Knowledge of high availability (HA) and Disaster recovery options
• Knowledge of indexes, index management and statistics
• Problem solving & Presentation skill of technical Information
• Attention to details and quality focus & Diversified operating system skills.
• Analytical, Communication and documentation skills.
• Interpersonal & Planning skills
