Lemi National Cement PLC, a joint venture between East African Holding and China’s West International Holding, is set to become Ethiopia’s largest cement factory. Located 130 km north of Addis Ababa in the Lemi Industrial Park, the $600 million plant has a production capacity of 4.5 million tons of cement annually. Despite challenges, major equipment installation was completed within eleven months, and operations are expected to begin in March 2024. The factory aims to supply over 50% of Ethiopia’s cement demand, contributing significantly to the country’s infrastructure and economic growth.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 

Years of Experience: 5–7 years’ relevant laboratory experience

knowledge 

preferably in cement/heavy manufacturing knowledge of cement chemistry, quality control and applicable standards.

Education & Certifications

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Geochemistry or related field
