Job Purpose:
An outstanding combination of natural nutrients that promote endurance, performance and overall good health elevates teff above other grains, giving its ‘super-food’ status. Lovegrass was established to bring prosperity to Ethiopia and its people through the commodity of ጤፍ (teff).
With its offices in Addis as well as London, Lovegrass is a start-up born to bring about global recognition to this wonder grain and the hands that have toiled for centuries to sustain farming traditions and preserve its nutritional values to the fullest, free from pesticides and chemicals.

Equally, we are passionate about the fact that all consumers, wherever in the world they live, should be able to access quality teff-based products telling the story of this spectacle grain.
The Sales Manager will be a key member of the management team and will be responsible for developing and implementing the organization’s sales strategy.
Responsibilities and Duties
Actively lead on your own orientation to learn about Lovegrass meeting with key members of staff at both offices (UK & Ethiopia) and factory level
Develop a better understanding of our current sales practices to identify gaps in existing sales practices
Learn the current reporting mechanisms, identify any gaps and propose new ways of working as well as sales projections etc.…
In collaboration with line manager develop and establish sales objectives, targets, sales structure and reporting systems
Lead on the implementation of the above strategy to achieve agreed sales targets
Continuously capture, monitor and share progress reports on targets and the team’s achievements
Increase our current sales volume by tracking key performance indicators
Work with the Senior Management team to identify opportunities and support required
Attend weekly Senior Management team meetings and give detailed presentations on proposals and analyzing their effects upon implementation
Team Management
Develop salary and commission structure for sales employees
Develop and/or review job descriptions for all sales team members
Recruit, provide orientation and manage all new sales employees by identifying how and what gets the best out of each team member
Establish daily, weekly, monthly, and annual targets to act as a guideline that enables measurement of individual and team’s performance
Actively communicate sales targets to management and individual sales team members
Develop and implement monthly in-house sales training for all
Analyze sales statistics, determine product and sales team performances
Motivate and inspire employees to meet sales targets that match the company’s goals
Support all sales team members to maintain healthy relationships with new and existing clients and build a strong customer base
Represent Lovegrass Ethiopia externally with all sales related matters and at various events
Must have experience in similar roles
Must have experience of developing and implementing sales strategies
Must be high level thinker and a doer
Must be willing to commit to 5 and half days per week
Must have an excellent level of Amharic and good level of English
Must have excellent writing and editing skills in Amharic
Must have a good level of financial planning experience
Must have experience in doing research using multiple sources
Must be confident in using Microsoft Office
Must be willing and able to take the initiative
Must be open to learning and versatile
