Green Scene is a company focused on providing sustainable energy solutions in Ethiopia, including high-value backup power systems and other products such as induction stoves.

2. Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Supervisor to lead our sales team in driving revenue growth across our diverse product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have experience selling both high-value technical products and consumer goods, with a strong understanding of the Ethiopian market.    

Job Requirements

. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies for both high-value backup systems and lower-value induction stoves.

  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales and digital marketing team to achieve revenue targets.

  • Create differentiated sales approaches for technical B2B sales (backup systems) and consumer-focused products (induction stoves).

  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.

  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.

  • Collaborate with business development team to develop effective sales materials and campaigns.

  • Set realistic sales targets and KPIs for the team.

  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to management.

  • Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.

  • Work with product development teams to provide market feedback.

4. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

  • 4+ years of sales and marketing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisor role.

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

  • Proven experience on social media sales and marketing.

  • Experience selling both high-value technical products and consumer goods.

  • Strong understanding of consultative selling techniques.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships at all levels.

  • Experience with CRM systems (Notion, HubSpot) and sales analytics.

  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Amharic is highly desirable.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the renewable energy or sustainable products sector.

  • Knowledge of the Ethiopian market and business culture.

  • Understanding of technical aspects of power systems and energy-efficient appliances.

  • Experience with different sales channels (direct, B2B, retail, etc.).

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.

  • Experience with international clients or partnerships.

6. Interview Process

  • Panel interview with senior management.

7. Performance Expectations

  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets across all product categories.

  • Successfully implement sales strategies for both high-value and consumer products.

  • Build and develop an effective sales team.

  • Establish strong client relationships and partnerships.

  • Contribute to company growth and market expansion.

8. Compensation Structure

  • Gross Salary:  25,000 ETB monthly.
     

  • Performance Commission: Based on achievement of monthly targets.

  • Performance Bonuses: Additional performance-based bonuses for successful sales and marketing targets achieved annually.

9. Work Environment

  • Full-time, on-site position at Green Scene Energy PLC's office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

  • Office hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and Saturday half day.

  • Collaborative work environment in a growing renewable energy company.

  • Work Location: Green Scene Energy PLC Office, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
