The Water Utility Management Information System (WUMIS) project is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our team. The WUMIS project is a collaboration between three Ethiopian companies that are developing a new information system for water utilities in Ethiopia. The QA Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the WUMIS meets the required standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases to validate the functionality of the UMIS

• Identify and report defects and issues found during testing

• Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues

• Review requirements and design documents to ensure that they are clear, complete, and correct

• Participate in code reviews to ensure that the UMIS is of high quality

• Assist with the creation of documentation for the UMIS, including user manuals and release notes

• Provide guidance and support to other team members on best practices for quality assurance

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of testing activities and results

• Participate in project planning and estimation activities to help ensure that the project stays on track and meets its quality and performance goals

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance

• Strong understanding of testing principles and methodologies

• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks

• Ability to write clear and concise test cases and reports

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Fluency in English and Amharic
