PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the General Manager, the Purchaser and Logistics Officer is responsible for procurement and logistics activities in project ensuring adherence to the organization’s administration and procurement process. They will also participate in purchase planning and advising on logistics considerations.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supplies Management, Public Administration or any other relevant discipline;
Experience:
At least 3-5 years’ experience administrative experience; with a strong customer focus;
Experience of working in office or other work environment that involves managing logistics and reports;
Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues within and from different organizations and cultures
Duties and Responsibilities
Receive approved purchasing request from the requesting unit to start the process.
Collect proforma from suppliers as per the qualification stated in the purchasing request;
Sorting and processing of incoming and purchased items and receipt of goods and issuance of Goods Received Notes as required;
Provide the necessary company information to the clients;
In cooperation with Finance Team, maintain an effective asset register process by creating and maintaining the office inventory and schedule the quarterly inventory and report any losses;
Oversees and ensures proper maintenance and functioning of office equipment and furniture
Reviews accuracy of bills and ensures the bills are paid on time
Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of office supplies to include stationery and Consumables.
Responsible for creating, managing maintaining appropriate and up to date filing system of the programs, motor vehicles, stock/inventory
Procure staff Identity Cards, and business card issues, printings, pamphlets, etc.
Maintain repository of frequently used forms e.g. travel, vehicle usage and maintenance logs etc.
Manage relationships with contracted service providers;
Perform other related assignments given by your immediate supervisor.
Liaise with different organizations and deliver messages as per instruction.
Renew business license, ID, passport and other government related matters with the respected offices.

Make regular deliveries of parcels, documents, goods
Other related activities assigned my your immediate supervisor.
Ensure the necessary materials, goods, equipment are requested by the projects deployed to the site on time.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent written and Oral English Language skills
Ability to record and/or communicate messages accurately
An excellent time manager of self and workload
Ability to liaise with line manager to ensure the effective management of workload
Ability to prioritize workload and deal with multiple requests and work activities at any given time.
Strong organizational skills, ability to take initiative and solve problems/deliver results on time
