Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Product Technical Lead / App Development Supervisor to oversee the development of a multi-service super app platform. You will serve as the primary technical representative, ensuring the outsourced development team delivers the project according to the approved product blueprint and high-quality technical standards.

Working Arrangement

• Mostly remote / virtual work

• Office visits may be required and will be discussed and agreed during the interview (not expected weekly)

• Must be available for important meetings, critical updates, and urgent technical matters

• Required to submit detailed weekly progress reports

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the outsourced development team regularly

• Ensure all blueprint features and requirements are correctly implemented

• Review technical execution, including:

  • Code quality

  • System architecture

  • Maintainability and technical consistency

• Ensure proper integration of:

  • Payment gateways

  • Third-party APIs

• Validate and oversee critical integrations, including:

  • National ID verification flow and related checks

  • Other key end-to-end system dependencies

• Perform and oversee testing activities, including:

  • Functional testing

  • Integration testing

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Oversee full source code handover, including:

  • Repository structure (e.g., Git)

  • Deployment knowledge

  • Documentation quality

  • Knowledge transfer sessions

• Support creation of required App Policies, including:

  • Privacy Policy

  • Terms of Service

  • Safety Guidelines

  • Data Protection statements

• Identify and report risks, delays, and quality issues immediately

• Coordinate effectively between business requirements and technical execution

• Support final readiness activities, including:

  • Final testing

  • App Store submission support

  • Launch readiness validation

Must Have

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead or App Development Supervisor for mobile applications

• Strong expertise in cross-platform mobile development

• Solid experience with API integrations, particularly payment gateway integrations

• Strong understanding of backend technologies and real-time systems

• Experience with manual testing and integration testing

• Strong knowledge of source code handover processes, including:

  • Git repository management

  • Documentation standards

  • Knowledge transfer practices

• Ability to interpret and implement requirements from detailed product blueprints and technical documentation

• Excellent communication skills in English and Amharic

• High level of integrity and professionalism

Advantage (Preferred)

• Experience with multi-service platforms / super apps

• Knowledge of national ID verification systems and APIs

• Experience drafting app policies (Privacy, Terms of Service, etc.)
