PLC Operator

Under the supervision of the shift production supervisor refinery PLC operator is responsible and accountable for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The PLC Operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing

  • Monitor the process by controlling ol process parameters on PLC .

  • Making sure that all equipment is working properly by running tests and diagnosing problems.

  • Communicate all process information without filled operators and supervisor.

  • Monitoring alarms to ensure that equipment is functioning properly.

  • Recording data on computer systems or writing down information on paper charts

  • Controlling all plant operations and monitoring plant performance during emergencies to ensure they are functioning correctly.

  • Maintaining records of daily operations, including maintenance and equipment performance to track equipment status and system performance.

  • Responding to emergencies to give an immediate response and prevent product loss.

  • Maintain an implementation of 5S, EMS,OHSMS AND FSMS.

  • Ensure the proper cleaning of the PLC room and process instrument.

  • Participate on teamwork strongly.

  • Ensure production and supply of safe products across the supply chain.

  • Prevent cross-contamination and control hazards by developing or innovating systems/methods. 

  • Ensure that all CCPs are monitored properly.

  • Use R rules (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink, etc) to avoid or minimize discharges to water, emissions to air and disposal to land.

  • Implement, document, maintain and continually improve the Environmental management system.

  • Implement policies, procedures and standards so as to avoid workers and other personnel harm.

  • Handle, store and manage chemicals and hazardous materials that can pose injury and ill health. 

  • Performing any activity assigned by the supervisor and production manager.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 

  • Diploma in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering and related filed.

  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
