Majar Two Import and Export Private Limited Company (soon to be named Dawaa Pharmacuetical Manufacturing Company), a public-private company organized under the law of Federal democratic Republic of Ethiopia with its principal office located at Addis Ababa, Akaki Kality Sub city, Woreda 07.

Position Summary:

The COO is a key member of Dawa Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company’s executive leadership team, responsible for managing day-to-day operations and driving operational efficiency, scalability, growth, and profitability. The role focuses on optimizing pharmaceutical manufacturing, strengthening supply chain and logistics, ensuring GMP and regulatory compliance, and leading continuous improvement across all operational functions. 

Job Requirements

Educational Background: 

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, or with related field of study

• An MBA or Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline is a plus

Experience: 

• 10/9/7 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or related industries, with at least 4 years in a senior operational leadership role in the industry

Quantity Required: One

Place of Work: Finfinnee/Addis Ababa with possible travel to project site or facilities 

Language: English, Afan Oromo and Amharic

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: Very competitive pay scale in the industry

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s operational strategy in line with business goals.

• Oversee daily operations across manufacturing, supply chain, quality (QA/QC), regulatory compliance, and other operational units.

• Ensure manufacturing is executed under GMP, safety standards, and all relevant regulatory requirements.

• Optimize capacity planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation to meet targets and timelines.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma) and evaluate process automation/technology opportunities.
