Media and Communications Center is looking to hire energetic and motivated News Anchor and Online News Editor to support and manage our YouTube video production team for our YouTube Channel “Ethiopian Reporter”, and working closely with our editorial team. The Video Production Manager would be in charge of seeing video projects from program designing and concept development to post-production & delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

• Producing and editing news posts in either English or Amharic

• News Anchors narrate or write news stories, reviews, or commentary for social media.

• Attending media events as needed and bringing original news when possible

• Advising and managing all aspects of our news section regularly, including audience outreach and growing the business

Job Requirement

Qualification: MA/BA Degree in film/media, management, Political Science, Journalism, or a related field.

Work experience: – A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience out of which 2 years of experience working on film sets or as part of a production team.

• Knowledge of shooting and editing videos

• Excellent organization, planning, and communication skills

• A collaborative mindset and ability to work with varying and changing needs

• Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
