Akobo Minerals is a Scandinavia-based gold exploration and boutique mining company, currently holding an exploration license covering 182 km2 and with an ongoing mine development in the Gambela region.

The company has established itself as the leading gold exploration company in Ethiopia through more than 12 years of on-the-ground activity. Akobo Minerals holds a 16 km2 mining license and is working to start up mining of its very promising Segele target. Job summary:

Under the general direction the Process Plant Manager, plans, organizes, executes, controls the processing plant, ensure efficiency and effectiveness, implement processing procedure, Ensure that Company’s Health & Safety policies, standards and procedures are followed and implemented.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Your duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Will be responsible for overseeing process plant operations in the absence of the Process Plant Manager.

• Responsible for monitoring and improving plant performance.

• Control processing plant to ensure efficient recovery of minerals.

• Process planning of plant parameters, stock controlling of reagents.

• Carry out test work and compile necessary reports such as production reports.

• Problem solving within processing plant, improvement strategies.

• Adhere to all company working policies, procedures, SOPs during execution of duties and responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirements

Qualifications Required:

Education:

•  Minimum BSc Degree in chemical engineering or Metallurgical degree in a recognized university or college.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 5Years relevant experience in a mineral processing plant (Gold plant advantage)

Skills and competencies required:

• English reading and verbally communicating - Excellent.

• Be able to resolve problems and manage operations within processing plant.

• Attention to detail, planning, report writing skills, time management.

• Team work and collaboration

• Excellent level of Microsoft Excel and Good Microsoft Word

•  Excellent level of numeracy.

External:

• Suppliers, Clients, Community and other as may be needed
