Purpose of the Job:

To support the installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of Nisir MFI’s IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, virtualization platforms, LAN/WAN, VPN connectivity, and network devices. The position assists in system and network troubleshooting, backup and disaster recovery operations, cybersecurity implementation, and infrastructure performance monitoring. The role also involves providing technical support to Head Office and branches, maintaining technical documentation, and collaborating with internal teams and external service providers to ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted IT services.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university.

• Experience: 0–1 year of relevant experience in system administration, network infrastructure, or IT technical support

• Technical Knowledge:

• Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Linux operating systems, and system administration.

• Understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls.

• Familiarity with server virtualization, particularly VMware.

• Basic understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity principles.

• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.

• Familiarity with network monitoring and IT infrastructure documentation.

• Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent certifications are an added advantage.

• Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, teamwork, willingness to learn, and ability to work under pressure.
