About Addis Guzo

Addis Guzo is a Swiss-Ethiopian NGO providing comprehensive rehabilitation services for people with disabilities in Ethiopia since 2012. Our practice is guided by evidence-based and evidence-informed approaches, including Early Childhood Intervention, family-centered and strengths-based practice, task-specific and goal-directed therapy, play-based intervention, and participation-focused rehabilitation programs. These approaches are adapted to the Ethiopian context while drawing on international best practice. We are committed to ongoing staff training and professional development at an international professional standard through structured training, clinical supervision, mentoring, and continuing professional development.

Position Overview

We are looking for a committed junior physiotherapist who is ready to learn, develop, and contribute to the future of pediatric rehabilitation in Ethiopia. This position includes a structured two-year professional development pathway in Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) and pediatric physiotherapy.

The selected physiotherapist will receive:

• Approximately 150 hours of structured teaching and practical instruction.

• Supervised clinical learning, mentoring, and case discussions.

• Participation in relevant CPD courses and practical workshops.

• Ongoing development of clinical skills, practical reasoning, and professional confidence.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy.

• Experience: Minimum one year of professional work experience.

• Location: Geja Sefer, Lideta, Addis Ababa

• Working hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

• Starting date: As soon as possible

• Salary and Benefits: USD 240 monthly basic salary plus additional benefits such as the organization-sponsored professional training, health insurance aso.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of experienced physiotherapists, the successful applicant will:

• Participate actively in the two-year training pathway.

• Support assessments, therapy planning, and supervised intervention sessions.

• Apply evidence-informed, child-centered, and family-centered approaches.

• Coach parents and caregivers and participate in home visits.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including RTI daily notes and reports.

• Collaborate with rehabilitation colleagues and other professionals.

• Participate in CPD, supervision, case discussions, and ongoing professional development.

Skills & Competencies

• Proven interest in working with children with disabilities or developmental difficulties.

• Strong motivation to specialize in pediatric physiotherapy and ECI.

• Commitment to the full two-year training pathway.

• Openness to learning, constructive feedback, and new clinical approaches.

• English language skills at B2 level for professional communication and training.
