Job description; is to reduce leakage either through proactive leak detection or by following up on ‘potential leaks’ identified by the Leak Detectors.

Duties and Responsibility

• Carry out all field works to detect leaks and pipe bursts in the water distribution network;

• Support the Linkage Experts in the field work reducing leakages;

• Ability to work in the field during graveyard shifts from time to time;

• Locating and pin-pointing leak positions;

• Tracing the route of water pipes and fittings;

• Performing basic maintenance activities;

• Undertaking ‘step test’ as part of a team;

• Undertake all work with due care and consideration for health and safety;

• Handle assigned tasks required to support the company.

Job Requirements

Academic qualification

• Vocational school certificate or diploma in plumbing

Additional qualification

• Proven work Experience

  • Good Communication Skills

  • Sharp hearing and good eyesight

  • Proven ability to work within a team environment but also on your own.

  • Technical understanding of hydraulic distribution systems or proven ability in a similar area

Year of experience: Minimum of 1-year work experience in utilities or water construction companies

Salary: Based on the company scale
