About the Position

Samiautomotive Technology is looking for a skilled and experienced IT Officer to manage the company’s day-to-day IT operations and provide technical support for our GPS tracking and automotive technology business.

The successful candidate should have practical experience working with GPS tracking systems and preferably have previous experience in a GPS tracking company. The candidate will be responsible for configuring GPS tracking devices and systems, managing the GPS tracking platform, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting the company's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the company's computers, printers, network equipment, and IT infrastructure.(If Possible)

• Provide day-to-day technical support to employees.

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software.

• Troubleshoot Windows, networking, internet, and other IT-related problems.

• Configure GPS tracking devices and GPS tracking systems according to company requirements.

• Configure and manage GPS tracking platform settings and user accounts.

• Configure GPS device parameters, communication settings, and related system configurations.

• Monitor GPS tracking systems and troubleshoot connectivity, communication, and software-related issues.

• Support users who access the GPS tracking platform and resolve login and system-related problems.

• Coordinate with GPS tracking device suppliers and platform providers when required.

• Maintain accurate records of GPS devices, configurations, SIM cards, accounts, and related technical information.

• Manage user accounts, passwords, access permissions, and system security.

• Maintain regular data backups and support data protection procedures.

• Support LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, internet connections, and other network infrastructure.(If possible)

• Perform software updates, system maintenance, and IT security tasks.

• Maintain records of company IT equipment, software, and licenses.

• Provide technical assistance to management and other departments.

• Prepare technical reports and documentation when required.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

• Previous work experience in a GPS tracking, fleet management, telematics, or automotive technology company is required.

• Practical experience configuring GPS tracking devices and GPS tracking platforms.

• Good understanding of GPS tracking systems, GPS devices, GSM/GPRS/4G communication, and tracking platforms.

• Experience configuring GPS device parameters and communication settings.

• Good knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.

• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems.

• Good understanding of LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, TCP/IP, and basic networking.

• Experience with web-based and cloud-based systems.

• Basic knowledge of databases and data management is an advantage.

• Good understanding of IT security and data protection.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and customer-service skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
