ACE Advisors is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Manager who will support the effective management of the organization’s human capital systems and processes. The role will ensure that ACE’s HR policies, talent management practices, and organizational culture are implemented effectively to support the firm’s strategic objectives and operational excellence.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Human Resources Officer will play a central role in managing the full employee lifecycle at ACE Advisors, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, staff development, and compliance with internal policies and labor regulations. The role will ensure that ACE’s HR systems, procedures, and documentation remain up-to-date and aligned with the organization’s strategic priorities and evolving operational needs, while supporting the attraction and retention of high-performing professionals within a fast-paced consulting environment.
In addition, the HR Officer will actively contribute to fostering a constructive, collaborative, and engaging workplace culture that reflects ACE’s core values and supports a high-performing advisory team. Working closely with senior management, the role will help strengthen staff engagement, professional development, and internal communication while promoting a culture of accountability, learning, and teamwork. Through effective HR practices and organizational development initiatives, the HR Officer will support the creation of an inclusive and motivating work environment that enables ACE staff to perform at their best and deliver high-quality advisory services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead talent acquisition and onboarding processes, including job description development, recruitment campaigns, candidate screening, interview coordination, reference checks, offer preparation, and onboarding of new staff.
Maintain and continuously improve ACE’s HR systems and policies, including regular updates to the HR Manual, procedures, and internal policies to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic plan and HR strategy.
Support performance management and professional development, including coordinating performance reviews, tracking staff development plans, and supporting the implementation of ACE’s competency framework and career progression pathways.
Coordinate learning and development initiatives, identifying staff capacity needs and organizing training, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities across the organization through internal and external resources.
Manage HR administration and personnel documentation, including maintaining staff records, employment contracts, consultant agreements, leave management systems, and HR documentation in compliance with organizational policies and Ethiopian labor law.
Ensure HR compliance and ethical workplace practices, including adherence to labor laws, safeguarding standards, professional conduct policies, and responsible workplace practices.
Promote a constructive and engaging organizational culture, supporting staff engagement initiatives, internal communication mechanisms, and activities that strengthen collaboration and teamwork within a consulting environment.
Strengthen knowledge sharing and internal collaboration, supporting platforms and processes that enable learning across project teams and encourage professional exchange among staff.
Provide HR analytics and strategic support to leadership, including preparation of HR reports, workforce insights, and contributing to responsible technology and AI-use practices within the organization.
Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
Minimum 3–6 years of relevant professional experience in human resource management, preferably in consulting firms, development organizations, or fast-paced professional environments
Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and HR compliance requirements
Demonstrated experience managing recruitment, staff performance systems, and HR administration
Experience supporting organizational culture, learning and development, and employee engagement initiatives
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse teams
High level of professional integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
Strong computer literacy, including MS Office applications and HR management systems
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines in a dynamic professional environment
