Position overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate High School History Teacher to teach Grades 9–12, with a strong focus on IGCSE and AS/A Level History. The ideal candidate will play a key role in inspiring students to analyze historical events, evaluate multiple perspectives, and develop advanced research and essay-writing skills essential for success in Cambridge examinations

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Teach Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level History to Grades 9–12 students
  • Design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with Cambridge curriculum
  • Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment strategies
  • Provide targeted support and differentiation for diverse learners
  • Prepare students for Cambridge examinations
  • Track and report student progress using formative and summative assessments
  • Integrate technology and primary/secondary sources into teaching
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
  • Collaborate with Secondary team and educational leadership
  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development
  • Uphold the school’s values and child safeguarding policies
  • Perform other related tasks as necessary

Job Requirement

Education:

  • BA/MA in History or Related field
  • Teaching certifications/licenses an advantage

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience at high school level with international students
  • Proven teaching experience in Cambridge IGCSE, AS/A level History
  • Strong understanding of Cambridge assessment objectives and exam techniques
  • Strong classroom management and instructional skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
