SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Health Officer (BSc Nursing) will be responsible for ensuring effective occupational health services within the factory. The position focuses on workplace health promotion, injury prevention, emergency medical response, first aid management, health education, and compliance with national health and safety regulations. The Health Officer will support the organization in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide occupational health services and first aid support for employees in case of injury, illness, or emergency situations.
Conduct routine workplace health inspections to identify occupational health risks and recommend preventive actions.
Coordinate medical referrals and follow-up services for injured or sick employees.
Maintain proper medical records, injury logs, accident reports, and treatment documentation.
Support implementation of workplace health and safety policies in coordination with the compliance and HSE team.
Conduct health awareness trainings (hygiene, communicable diseases, nutrition, stress management, reproductive health, etc.).
Monitor workplace sanitation and hygiene practices including drinking water, toilets, waste disposal, and cafeteria conditions.
Participate in incident investigation and contribute to root cause analysis for occupational injuries and health-related incidents.
Assist in developing and implementing emergency preparedness plans, including emergency response drills.
Ability to use clinical equipment Ability to prescribe medicine
Ensure proper management of first aid kits, medical supplies, and emergency medicines.
Promote preventive health programs such as vaccination campaigns, medical checkups, and health screening programs.
Provide guidance on occupational disease prevention including chemical exposure, dust, noise, and ergonomic risks.
Work closely with HR and Management to support employee wellbeing programs.
Coordinate with nearby clinics/hospitals for emergency cases and medical service agreements.
Prepare regular reports on workplace health conditions, incidents, and improvement actions.
Carry out any other related duties assigned by the Administration or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirement
BSc Degree in Nursing /Public Health (Health Officer background preferred).
Valid professional license (COC/registration) is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of occupational health and workplace safety principles.
Knowledge of emergency care, first aid procedures, and accident response.
Experience in industrial or factory health services is highly preferred.
Knowledge of communicable disease prevention and health promotion programs.
Ability to maintain accurate medical records and prepare reports. Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, email reporting).
Good English communication skills is an advantage.

Experience
5 years and above in Public Health Nursing.
