The role of Flight Operations Officer is an important and sometimes demanding role, linking two parts of the flight support operations and providing a service which is vital to the safe, orderly, and expeditious operation of aircraft. He/she will coordinate ground handling services monitor, and record flight arrival and departure as well as answering emails and phone calls from clients. He/she will liaise closely with other teams such as Handling Agents and Civil Aviation authority, Car rentals and Hotels to ensure our customers receive the services they require. This is a safety critical role which demands attention to detail and the ability to work within set procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Flight Operations Officer's duties and responsibilities consist of but are not limited to the following:
Liaise with local agent duty officer to ensure operational Flight plan is being filled and filed at local ATC.
Ensuring aircraft, crew and passengers have all necessary documents, visa and their entry requirements by concerned states/regions
Obtaining all overflight/landing permits, and slots, in accordance with all regulations in an expeditious and economic manner
Setting up ground handling, in accordance with client preference, appropriate facilities in an economical and efficient manner
Setting up and coordinate Meet and Assist for crew and or passengers as per client request
Arranging hotel accommodation and ground transport for crew and or passengers
Coordinate trips with all relevant authorities, i.e. customs, immigrations, airport and civil/military authorities
Recording all flight arrivals and departures time and timely relay of movement messages to vendors and clients
Monitoring and updating Operations department with relevant information
Coordinate with local agent duty agents to ensure a smooth and efficient service is achieved
Assist with general administration and invoice collection
Giving information in a clear and professional manner to crew and concerned stakeholders
Listening to customer needs and ensuring that these are met in an appropriate way
Stay current on all applicable NOTAMs, Covid restrictions and Visa requirements
Ensuring fuel is being arranged and fuel releases relayed in a timely manner
Coordinating with local fuel suppliers to ensure timely delivery of fuel
Administrative duties including basic filing and organization of records and files
Assumes any additional duties delegated by the Director of Operations
Other duties may be required, as needed
Education and/or Experience:
Holds High School Diploma, equivalent or higher
Successfully complete Company training
Company Requirements:
Diploma / Certificate in aviation training is a plus
Must be able to pass a background check to include a 7-year criminal & employer
history reference check
Excellent interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Must be able to work flexible schedules
Self-educator and motivator
Work rotating shifts including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
