Job Summary

The Finishing Foreman oversees day-to-day finishing activities on the project, including plastering, painting, tiling, ceiling works, flooring, joinery, and final detailing. The role ensures that finishing works are completed to the required, quality standards, safety regulations, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate finishing workers, subcontractors, and labor teams. 
• Monitor daily finishing activities and ensure work progresses according to schedule. 
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and finishing details. 
• Inspect workmanship to ensure quality standards are maintained. 
• Coordinate finishing works with other construction activities and departments. 
• Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available when needed. 
• Manage finishing materials with minimum wastage. 
• Conduct site safety inspections and enforce safety procedures. 
• Report daily progress, delays, and manpower status to project manager. 
• Ensure proper surface preparation before finishing applications. 
• Monitor snag lists and ensure defects are corrected before handover. 
• Assist in project closeout and final inspections. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or Level IV technical and vocational school graduates in construction Sector, or other related field of study or above
• Proven experience in finishing construction works, especially on high rise apartment project.
• Strong knowledge of finishing materials, application procedures and overall management.
• Strong ability to see and work on details.
• Sensible to neatness and proper closeout.
• Ability to read detail design drawings and specifications. 
• Leadership and team supervision skills. 
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities. 
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards. 
• Time management and organizational skills. 

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in construction finishing works. 
• Particular finishing foreman role, minimum on two apartments project is advantageous.
