Job summary
The factory manager is expected to oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization’s roasting facilitiy, planning, coordinating, and directing the activities (processes) that result in products. They must ensure high quality business activities with maximum efficiency, production, service and profitability for the organization. He/she will be in charge in the administrative, managerial and new strategic initiatives such as expansion of the factory. Accordingly, he/she are to implement all rules and policies to all factory workers and ensure that they follow every regulation and increase productivity of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, directs and controls production and technical activities, in line with the general policies, procedures and values of the company.
Formulates policies and procedures pertaining to production process and technical activities of the company and ensures the proper implementation of same upon approval.
Develops key performance indicators to evaluate performances of the production and technical departments.
Coordinates and directs quality control procedures and the implementation of safety regulations and ensures statutory requirements are met.
Formulates short, medium and strategic plans as well as programmes of the company based on research and statistical data obtained from internal and external sources.
Closely follows up, monitors and evaluates operational results and compares actual achievements with plans and programs.
Ensures that machinery and equipment are in good working condition to attain maximum capacity utilization.
Ensures the design, implementation and maintenance of appropriate systems and procedures to achieve company objectives.
Directs the development of initiatives such as new products, new marketing techniques and the dropping of unprofitable products.
Verifies that the established working practice, procedure and accident prevention techniques are properly implemented.
Verifies that stock level based on production planning and procurement lead time is well managed.
Ensures the provision of management information service including networking, data base management, and security and system administration in the order of program activity.
Ensures that employees of the department continuously get the required skill up grading training.
Evaluates the performance of the employees working under his/her supervision.
Prepares and submits periodic performance reports on the activities of the department to General Manager
Ensure that all problems related to food safety management system is reported to immediate supervisor and Quality personnel.
Ensure compliance with the relevant requirements of local, national and international laws related to environmental standards and end client's environmental requirements.
Ensure reduction targets (environmental objectives) are in place for environmental aspects e.g. water
consumption and discharge, waste, energy and greenhouse gas emissions.
Determine environmental aspects and impacts and devise methods to prevent or reduce these environmental impacts.
Use the 3R + 1R rule (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink) to avoid or minimize discharges to water, emissions to air and disposal to land.
Performs related functions as required.

Qualification
Good leadership skills
Good interpersonal relationship and communication skills both in oral and written.
Good understanding of labor laws and government procedures.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
An experience in project planning and management.
In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods/ food manufacturing industry.
Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software.
Outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.
Previous experience in Coffee industry or agricultural commodities is recommended.
Previous work in FSSC certified organization is a plus.
