Background

Our company is engaged in the wholesale distribution of pharmaceutical products across Ethiopia. We are seeking to recruit qualified, competent, and results-oriented professionals for the position of External Pharmaceutical Sales person to strengthen our distribution network and enhance market coverage.

Job Summary

The External Pharmaceutical Sales person  will be responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products from the company’s wholesale outlet to retail pharmacies, drug stores, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. The role requires strong field engagement, customer relationship management, and achievement of sales targets.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Pharmacy, Health Sciences, Business Administration, or related field

  • Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales or distribution (preferred)

Job Competencies

  • Demonstrated understanding of Ethiopia’s pharmaceutical market and supply chain

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Proven ability to work independently and achieve sales targets

  • Willingness to travel frequently within assigned areas

  • Excellent customer relationship management skills

  • Strong sales and negotiation abilities

  • High level of professionalism and integrity

Remuneration

  • Commission-based compensation tied to sales performance

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell pharmaceutical products to pharmacies, clinics, drug stores, and hospitals

  • Identify and establish new customers

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure sustained business growth

  • Achieve agreed sales targets and performance indicators

  • Follow up on orders, deliveries, and payment collections in accordance with company policies

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs

  • Prepare and submit periodic sales and activity reports

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery
