  • Export Manager will be in charge of Leading the Coffee Export Business Team, Planning, Organizing, & Controlling the Export Business, will include Promoting the Companies’ Coffee Business in the International Coffee Market, monitoring the ECX Market Prices, regularly Communicating with the actual & Potential Customers, Promptly Answering Inquiries by Customers in the International Market and if need be Participate in International Exhibitions, Conferences & Bazars, etc

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Identify Coffee markets and demands.

  • Plan and coordinate shipment of goods for export.

  • Ensure that LC terms are complied with and export proceeds are collected timely

  • Identifying, contacting, and establishing strong working relationships with buyers, suppliers, forwarders, transport companies, banks, and other involved parties.

  • Making sure that the company follows the relevant government rules and regulations in its activities.

  • Prepare submit and follow up necessary documents, forms, and letters related to the export process.

  • Plan and coordinate shipment of coffee for export.

  • Bring a buyer or new customer to the company.

  • Promoting the company internationally and acquiring new customer/buyer to the company Selling export coffee to the international market by contacting buyers through email, phone, social media, and physically.

  • Checking whether terms and conditions specified in the sales contract are as agreed between.

  • Follow up the international market, predicting and managing it to exploit advantages and to reduce or avoid threats.

  • Preparing an export plan and implementing it.

  • Report and deciding the purchase plan with the owner and communicating the purchase decision to the purchaser and ensuring coffee are purchased from ECX and/or non ECX market.

  •  Coaching the staff under the export department and controlling them.

Job Requirements

Qualification

  • BA Degree and above in Marketing Management, Business Management or /and related field of studies.

Work Experience

  • Five relevant work experience out of which three years in import and export manger level.

  • Good experience in chemical, fertilizer, seeds, food staff, and agricultural raw material industries and related business experience.

  • Excellent in corresponding with international business clients and able to create company reliability in the international market.

Required Competence

  • Advanced skill computer, good command on English language, report writing and presentation skill is mandatory.

Technical and Other Skills

  • Good Knowledge about ECX

  • Ability to provide leadership, communicates effectively and promotes a team approach

  • Able to communicate in English and Amharic efficiently both verbally and in written form. I.e. Additional Knowledge other local language is an Advantage.

  • Able to adjust to fast changing business conditions and is always result oriented.

  • Knowledgeable about export administration regulations as well as the international traffic arms regulation.

  • Ability to identify major international clients to generate stable sales and prepare costing to offer prices to customers.

  • Extensive knowledge of custom laws, rules and regulation
