Job Summary

The Engineering and Technique Section Head is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and supervising all engineering and technical activities of the organization. The position ensures the effective operation, maintenance, installation, and continuous improvement of machinery, equipment, utilities, and technical systems while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role also provides technical leadership and manages engineering staff to achieve departmental objectives. These responsibilities are consistent with senior engineering leadership roles across manufacturing and engineering organizations.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • MSc/BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field of study

Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant engineering or maintenance experience.

  • At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or section head position. Senior engineering section head roles commonly require several years of engineering experience with prior leadership responsibility.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the Engineering and Technical Section.

  • Develop preventive and corrective maintenance plans.

  • Ensure machinery and equipment operate efficiently with minimal downtime.

  • Plan and monitor engineering projects, installations, and technical improvements.

  • Manage maintenance schedules, budgets, and spare parts inventory.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

  • Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with production and other departments to support operational needs.

  • Prepare technical reports, KPIs, and maintenance performance reports.

  • Train, coach, and evaluate engineering and technical staff.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
