Job Position title:   Electrician  ( Factory Adama)

Under the general supervision of the maintenance coordinator, Electrician is responsible for properly working out electrical installations. The job holder is also responsible for identifying problems of electrical designs and forwarding alternative solutions.

1. Responsible for any work related to electrical component starting for electrical installation to maintenance.

2. Responsible for the safety of testing equipment for electrical works. 

3. Identifies tools and other input for electrical maintenance based on the maintenance order

4. Tests the safety of electrical equipment for the work.

5. Maintain records on maintenance related costs

6. Check and ensure the proper installation circuit, main and sub distribution boards, panels, transformers, generators and electrical motors according to the design.

7. He/she may prepare technical specification for electrical related items to be purchased

8. Ensures that materials and tools availed for maintenance work are properly and effectively utilized for the intended purpose

9. Respects safety standards to avoid damage on workers and properties

10. Coordinates the work with other activities, like electro mechanical works.

11. Perform any other duties assigned to him.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:  1st degree /Diploma in electricity, or related fields and 2/4 years of working experience respectively.
