FRI’s mission is to make radio a powerful force for good in rural Africa—one that shares knowledge, amplifies voices, and supports positive change.

Main Purposes of Job:-

  • Responsible for provision of technical assistance and implementation of Farm Radio International project activities. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and professional support to FRI project activities to ensure quality and appropriateness of project/program approaches as well as ensure its sustainability

  • Prepare project/program implementation plans, budgets and carry our proper implementation of the project/program pertinent to the responsibility

  • Prepare periodical and annual reports

  • Undertake regular monitoring and periodical evaluation of project activities and compile findings

  • Establish, monitor and evaluate Community Listener Group in FRI project areas

  • Write case studies/success stories/audio post and document the entire lesson learned using all possible communication medias.

  • Organize, conduct and facilitate different training to develop capacity of the radio stations, community members and other stakeholders

  • Prepare training materials, proceedings, posters, etc as deemed necessary

  • Take part in the development of project proposal and concept note development

  • Assist Country Program Manager a range of tasks aimed at strengthening the FRI project implementation

  • Supervise volunteer project staffs in their activities of project implementation

  • Perform other related duties as require 

Report to:  Country Program Manager

Job Requirements

Requirement 

  • B.A (Bachelor) Degree in Agriculture, Communications, Social science & related fields

  • Must be willing to work on field sites with frequent field travel

Work experience:

  • A minimum of three years and above. NGO experience is preferable

Required Skill:

  • A thorough knowledge of project development and implementation

  • Computer literate
