• Experience: Minimum of 8 years experience in corrugated iron sheet factory.

Duties and Responsibilities

Equipment Operation & Monitoring

• Operate and monitor the corrugation and roll-forming line (including decoilers, feeding guides, corrugating rollers, and hydraulic shears) according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Adjust and calibrate machine parameters, roller gaps, and cutting lengths based on specific material thicknesses, profile shapes, and production orders.

• Ensure flat metal sheets or coils are correctly fed into the line, preventing tracking errors, jamming, or material twisting.

Mechanical Maintenance & Fault Resolution

• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning profiles, lubricating gears, inspecting chain drives, and checking shear blade sharpness.

•  Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve minor mechanical faults, unusual vibrations, or operational abnormalities during the profiling process.

• Coordinate with the maintenance team for major machinery repairs, roll-forming die changes, or hydraulic system overhauls.

Safety and Compliance

• Enforce and follow strict safety protocols for handling heavy metal coils, high-pressure hydraulics, and automatic flying shears.

• Ensure proper usage of required PPE (including cut-resistant gloves, safety shoes, and hearing protection) around active roll-forming lines.

• Stop machinery immediately and report any unsafe conditions, mechanical hazards, or guard malfunctions.

Quality Assurance & Production Support

• Inspect finished corrugated sheets continuously for profile depth, overlapping accuracy, squareness, and surface defects (such as scratching or coating peeling).

• Measure and verify product dimensions against technical blueprints and customer specifications using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.

• Collaborate with material handling and packaging teams to ensure profiled sheets are neatly stacked, bundled, and labeled without damaging the edges.

Team Supervision & Skill Development

• Mentor and train assistant operators or helpers on safe stacking practices, machine feeding, and control panel basics.

• Assign tasks on the corrugation line floor to optimize workflow, maximize sheet output, and minimize material scrap.

• Maintain clean and organized workspaces around the corrugation line adhering to factory housekeeping (5S) standards.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed production logs recording processed coil numbers, total linear meters or sheets produced, scrap weight, and downtime.

• Report major mechanical tracking problems, blade wear, or raw material defects to the Production Management team.
