Job Summary:
The construction site supervisor while based in Shewa Robit Town, supervise housing and WASH construction works in shewarobit, Debresina and Ataye to ensure quality, timelines of implementation, and assist in better contract management. The construction site supervisor’s main responsibilities are close technical supervision of construction activities at a construction sites, assuring quality of supply of materials and labor by contractor companies as per the Design of the organization to ensure the implementation of housing and WASH activities . The construction site supervisor plays an important role in monitoring day to day onsite construction activities.
Main duties and responsibilities
- . Works as a focal person to ensure construction quality. Carry out onsite technical supervision for all construction activities as carried out by contractors to assure quality, timely completion as per the design, Checklist, BOQ, working drawings and technical specification and verify its completion.
- . Ensure general safety and securing of the construction.
- . Assist in Preparation of Construction budget breakdown/cost assessment, costing sheets, construction work Schedule according to standards and general conditions of construction contract.
- . Construction site supervisor checks and provides report to the Project Manager for certification and acceptance about construction quality in each phase of construction activity before further steps.
- . Ensure site supervision and make quality assessments /monitoring on workmanships, materials quality, and tools to assure the standards of works, quality of materials delivered used for the intended purpose.
- . Make Sure the Contractor has supplied quality materials, enough materials and Labor for the construction of the water project to maintain the schedule and to avoid dalliances.
- . works in reviewing the contractor's work schedules and updates; closely monitor the work progress and budget utilization to ensure compliance with the project duration and cost.
- . Check payment requests for the executed works submitted by the Contractor (taking timely onsite measurement for the executed work, record, accuracy of calculation in payment certificates) and submits to project managers for checking.
- . Maintain site book record / communications a filing system for all site memos, copy of payments, instructions, orders, as well as internal/external correspondences and other documents pertaining to the construction activities to ensure detailed records are kept for all construction activities, enabling real time tracking of construction progress.
- . Provides weekly and monthly construction progress reports to Project Managers.
- . Prepares visit schedule for the water works during management or donor visits
- . The construction site supervisor assists the family selection committee in conducting beneficiary family selection.

Job Requirements
- BSC in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Construction Technology & Management, and other related fields
- A minimum of Two(2) years professional experience.
- Excellent organization and planning skill to prioritize and balance work.
- An excellent of fluent communication, written and spoken, in Amharic and English.
