Klaver Flowers PLC (KLF) is a flower farm producing Gypsophila variety for the world market. The farm site is located in Hawassa, 260 km south of Addis Ababa, at Wondo Tika besides the New International Airport. The Company started its operation in 2013 & has been expanding ever since. In its 37 hectarage, KLF currently has more than 900 employees & has the plan to increase to 1200 in the coming months.

Responsibilities

• Write, maintain and implement company policies and procedures related to Global G.A.P.

• Implement and manage an effective legal compliance program.

• Assess company operations to determine compliance risk.

• Maintain, distribute and control different documents such as registers and checklists

• Conduct internal audits in different departments

• Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks.

• Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.

• Follow-up and/or implement corrective actions

• Advise management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports.

• Provide technical data to third parties

• Manage document control

• Facilitate meetings such as workers health and safety committee

• Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes.

• Resolve employee concerns about legal compliance.

• Follow-up relevant laws

Conditions of Employment : 60 days probation period & will become permanent based on result of performance evaluation during the probation period.

Job Requirements

Educational Background : BSc degree in Horticulture, Plant Science or any other related field

Experience: 2 years and above, priority will be given to flower farm experience.

Language : Good spoken and written English language
