FH Ethiopia would like to invite potential internal and external candidates to apply for the following position:
Position: Cashier/Commodity Storekeeper
Duty Station: Yabello (Borena, Oromia)
Duration of Contract: Three Months (Temporary)
Salary: As per the salary scale of the organization

Basic Responsibilities:
Key Result #1 – Implementation
Ø Maintains and safeguards cash and fuel coupons.
Ø Issues official receipts for all collections.
Ø Deposits daily cash collections intact into bank the next working day.
Ø Records daily cash collections and payments and balances daily with cash on hand.
Ø Maintains fuel coupon register and balances daily with coupons on hand.
Ø Prepares checks for all authorized payments.
Ø Processes bank transfer and exchange of checks.
Ø Prepares daily bank accounts and cash balances.
Ø Performs any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Ø Checks the quantity, specifications and appropriateness of incoming items before receiving;
Ø Receives and issue properties in accordance with the rules and regulation of the organization;
Ø Stores incoming items in a proper way;
Ø Issues outgoing items from the store as per the relevant guideline;
Ø Controls bin cards and stock cards and makes the balance;
Ø Ensures that the store is always tidy;
Ø Follows up items to be stocked out and reports to the immediate supervisor;
Ø Prepares periodic reports;
Ø the internal control system of the organization is in place and is observed by all staff members of the project.

SAFETY AND SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES
Each FHE staff member should adhere to all pertinent policies concerning safety and security policy of FH. Lapses in safe conduct can jeopardize the health and welfare of all staff.
Every FHE staff member has an obligation to learn and understand the security situation where they are located.

He/she has a responsibility to become familiar to social, cultural and other associated features of their duty stations;
Abstains from inappropriate or offensive behavior that can put FHE in a difficult position, impair operations, and jeopardize the health and welfare of all staff of FHE.
All FHE staff should promotes safe conducts and exercises caution in all work activities; staff should accountable for own personal and professional actions and conduct;
GENDER RESPONSIBILITIES
Be aware of the stereotypes about women’s and men’s capacities, and discuss how they influence staff, in assigning responsibility, and in managing resources at unit and organization level.
Be able to describe how gender issues relate to one’s job responsibilities and how gender equity can be promoted through the execution of those responsibilities.
Be familiar with the local Gender Focal Point(s), and go to her/him to learn more about gender issues, or when there is a gender grievance or harassment issue to resolve
Within each project and department, discuss FH’s Gender & Diversity and Sexual Harassment and sexual exploitation Policies, so that all staff are conversant with them.
Refrain from any comments or gestures that indicate prejudicial views of female staff, especially female supervisor.
In each Project and Head Office, ask women staff what changes would make it more “gender-friendly”, organization and implement the recommendations

Diploma in Accounting with at least 2 Years’ experience in a similar position preferably in an NGO setting.
Language
Knowledge of the context in Borena and local language of the intervention area is preferred.
