Title: Battery Quality Officer

Department: Battery Systems Engineering

The Battery Quality Technician ensures battery packs meet mechanical, electrical, and safety standards. The role is responsible for IQC, Testing and OQC quality checks, defect investigation, documentation, and compliance with engineering standards. The assigned person must have the capability to decide good / not good products.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Testing

• Plan and execute inspection of incoming batteries as per IQC checklist.

• Conduct in-process and final inspection of assembled battery packs to ensure mechanical fitment, torque accuracy, insulation integrity, and electrical safety.

• Perform cell and pack testing: OCV checks, IR measurement, pack capacity/charge–discharge test, leakage inspection, thermal monitoring.

• Document test and inspection results and verify conformance to engineering specifications. 

Training & Support

• Provide training to junior technicians on defect identification, inspection standards, torque control, log-keeping, and basic quality procedures.

Job Requirements

Education

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent. 

Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years in a production or quality role, preferably in battery, automotive, or electronics manufacturing.

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with electrical measurement tools (multi-meter, IR tester, load tester).

• Strong Microsoft Office skills for quality reporting.
