Nigatu Abebe Certified Audit Firm (NAA) is looking for professionals to join our dynamic team, contributing to the planning, execution, and reporting phases of audit engagements across diverse client portfolios, ensuring compliance with professional standards and delivering high-quality audit services.

Overview  

As an Audit Manager, you would be expected to lead the field team in performing the audit and report to the Engagement Partner. Moreover, you will be responsible for planning and reviewing the audit activities. You will analyze risks and develop measures to reduce the audit risk while ensuring the timely completion of audits.

Major roles and responsibilities 

  • Understand the client's industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments. Stay informed of general business/economic and regulatory developments and their impact to the client.

  • Assist and advise the audit team on the formulation of audit strategy and planning.

  • Manage and control audit assignments from planning through to finalization of reports in line with agreed timescales.

  • Control time spent and monitor actual time against budget.

  • Act as a point of contact for engagement leads and clients, ensuring both are kept fully informed of any issues arising and the progress of the audit.

  • Ensure standards and procedures are maintained by the whole team, and present a complete audit file with review points cleared.

  • Deliver exceptional client service by providing quality services; maximize results and drive high performance from people while fostering collaboration across businesses and borders.

  • Develop high-performing people and teams

  • Create an inspiring team environment and setting clear team goals.

  • Coordinate with the client and team to ensure timely completion of audit and provide value added advice to client.

  • Design audit approaches, conduct field audit engagements, supervise audit teams, and prepare audit report to clients 

Job Requirements

Education and experience  

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field 

  • ACCA member (ACCA qualification is must)

  • Demonstrated ability in delivering to agreed project

  • Experience in client relationship development

  • Proficiency with Advanced Excel skills 

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Knowledge of IPSAS,IFRS and IAS accounting standards

  • Excellent interpersonal and project management skills

  • Excellent proficiency in English language both speaking and writing
