The Internal Audit & Compliance Manager is responsible for planning, leading, and executing internal audit activities to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. The role ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while providing independent assurance and advisory support to management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Audit Planning & Execution
•  Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessment
•  Lead and supervise audit assignments across operations, finance, HR, IT, and compliance
•  Ensure audits are conducted in line with professional standards IFRS, 
•  Review audit working papers and ensure quality and completeness
•  Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk mitigation measures
•  Identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and potential fraud risks
•  Recommend practical and value-added corrective actions
•  Ensure compliance with company policies, laws, and regulatory requirements
•  Support corporate governance and ethical standards
•  Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies
•  Prepare clear audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations
•  Present audit results to senior management and Audit Committee
•  Track implementation of audit recommendations and report follow-up status
•  Provide advisory services on process improvement, systems, and controls
•  Participate in major projects, system implementations, and policy reviews
•  Promote a strong risk-aware and control-conscious culture
•  Lead, mentor, and evaluate audit team members
•  Build audit capacity through training and coaching
•  Ensure effective workload planning and resource utilization
•  Train, develop internal audit team.
•  Perform other duties assigned by immediate supervisor.

•  Reduction in repeat audit issues

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience
•  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
•  Professional certification (CIA, ACCA, ) is highly preferred
•  Minimum 8 years of relevant audit experience, with 4 years in a managerial role
