Duties and Responsibilities
Financial record keeping & data entry
Recording Transactions: Accurately entering daily financial transactions, including accounts payable (bills) and accounts receivable (invoices), into the accounting system.
Ledger Maintenance: Assisting in maintaining and updating the General Ledger to ensure all financial data is accurate and up to date.
Document Management: Organizing, filing, and maintaining digital and physical financial records, receipts, and invoices for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
Reconciliation & Cash Management
Bank Reconciliation: Comparing bank statements with internal accounting records to identify and resolve any discrepancies or differences.
Petty Cash Management: Monitoring, recording, and reconciling daily petty cash expenses to ensure accurate balance.
Reporting & Reporting Support
Financial Statement Support: Assisting senior accountants in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement).
Basic Analysis: Performing basic financial analysis, such as variance analysis (comparing actual spending against the budget), to help track company performance.
Compliance & Tax Support
Tax Filing Assistance: Supporting the team in preparing and gathering documents for monthly tax declarations (such as VAT, Withholding Tax, and Employment Income Tax).
Audit Preparation: Organizing financial documents and schedules to assist external or internal auditors during the company audit process.
Collaboration & System Utilization
Software Proficiency: Utilizing accounting software (such as Peachtree/Sage, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and advanced MS Excel to perform daily financial tasks.
Cross-Functional Communication: Communicating effectively with other departments to clarify expense reports, invoices, or payment status.
